Always seeking artistic excellence, Brian continues to push the boundaries of his vision. He strives to further his approach to color harmony, design and form while remaining true to his distinct expression. Brian makes frequent trips throughout North America for reference and shows .

Brian Grimm was born in Bastrop, Texas in 1968 and grew up in the small town of Elgin, Texas. His talent was discovered at an early age and the rural farm life was rich with inspiration. After achieving an art degree in 1992, he worked as a graphic designer in Austin. After seven years, he left to pursue a career in fine art.

Outdoor studies are essential in helping to recreate natural lighting and atmosphere. Painting in oil, prepared hardboard allows a firm surface for full expression. Confident, painterly brushwork is a hallmark. Noted influences on Brian's work include representational artists such as Wilhelm Kuhnert and Carl Rungius, but the works of painter Ken Carlson influenced Brian early, and he credits Ken for his patient critiques through the years.
